Access to Arachova
Arachova (*) is a small town with about 4,000 inhabitants, built amphitheatrically at an altitude between 900 and 1000 meters. It is situated on one of the southern slopes of Mount Parnassos and despite the relatively high altitude at which it is situated, access to it is particularly easy. In particular, if you are coming from Athens or the south of the country, you will take the national road towards Lamia.

Although there are two or three relevant markings towards Arachova and the ski resort of Parnassos on the highway, the best road is the second option, namely the exit to Kastro and Orhomeno a few kilometres after you pass Lake Yliki on your right.
This route is 172 kilometres long, i.e. 12 kilometres longer than the one that passes outside the town of Livadia, but it is more comfortable and perhaps shorter.
