Beaches of Halkidiki in Sithonia

Also available in: Ελληνικά

Green slopes and turquoise waters on golden sandy beaches. This is in a nutshell the landscape of Sithonia Halkidiki. An ideal destination for a more relaxed holiday in contrast to the first leg, Kassandra, which has more options for evening entertainment and possible “hustle and bustle”.

Distances from Thessaloniki to Sithonia

The distance between Thessaloniki and Sithonia is not specific since we are not talking about a city but a geographical area. For this reason we will look at some distances from the capital of Macedonia to the larger towns of Sithonia. Specifically:

  • Thessaloniki-Nikiti: 98 km via Thessaloniki-Neon Moudania
  • Thessaloniki-Toroni: 138 km
  • Thessaloniki-Sykia: 140 km following the eastern ring road of Sithonia.

Beaches in Sithonia

So take a look at fourteen beaches from Sithonia in Halkidiki and discover for yourself as many or more, such as the famous beach of Armenistis with the camping site, which unfortunately was so crowded the day I went that I couldn’t engage in the noble sport of photography.

Swim at beaches such as Kalamitsi, the famous Kavourotrypes, Banana, the exotic Karidi, Platanisti, the distant Kriaritsi with its double beach, Tristinika with the beach bar Ethnik, Toroni and literally so many more, in order to feel the treasure of the sea in Sithonia Halkidiki.
