Kireas river road trip

Kireas river and the road trip next to it is one of the most picturesque road trips in north Evia island.

The whole area is covered with platan trees and Kireas river water flow calmly under small wooden hanging bridges. This beautiful route is located close to Prokopi village in the central part of north Evia island (Euboea island) 50 kilometers from Chalkida city and 125 km from Athens.

There are some sports along the river side where you can rest by the river and you may also take a coffee or lunch break at a tavern under the shadow of platan trees with view to one of the wooden small bridges of Kireas river.(view photo section)

Moreover very close to Prokopi village it is worth visiting one of the largest trees in Europe, the big or old platan tree of Evia. You will find it at and area called Paraskevorama but you better ask at Prokopi in order to tell you the details in order to reach it.
