Molyvos traditional village in Lesvos island

Molyvos village is a famous traditional settlement on the north-east part of Lesvos island in the Aegean sea. Its Byzantine impressive castle overlooks the village and offers an amazing view to the Aegean sunset.

The castle along with the traditional mansions, its cobbled streets and the numerous Ottoman founts are some of the reasons that led the authorities to acclaim Molyvos in 1965 as a protected village resulting in the preservation of its unique color and atmosphere.
